Parking was hard to find as families gathered to see their children dressed up as their favourite characters, with superheroes and characters from the Harry Potter franchise proving particularly popular among students.
Eight schools from the area marched down the street to celebrate this year's theme of 'Reading Is My Secret Power', lead by the Yanco Agricultural High School Drum Corps.
The parade was organised by Griffith City Library.
