The cold weather was nowhere in sight this week as our Net Set Go girls skipped onto the court and demonstrated some great improvement in their netball skills.
This week the 8/9 division began with Area Refrigeration All Stars taking the win over Let's Go Glamping Party Hire Shooting Stars, 21 goals to 10. This was followed by a good win by #Teamnato, who gained a solid score of 19 goals to defeat The Diamonds.
In the 10/11's division Benny Mahon Constructions gained an easy win, with South Grove Angels having to forfeit this week. In the other games Keep It North proved to be too strong for Griffith Pet Resort and Elders Lightning played well to beat Coro Firebirds. JMMAC Trenching had the Bye.
The 12 year's division saw the more experienced CSP Bluebirds claim a win over the younger All Stars team whilst R & B Diggers outscored Hotshots 23 goals to 9. Ladybirds had the bye this week.
In MIA Coaches - D grade Xquisite Dolphins continued to play strong, with yet another good win this week, defeating Midstate Gunns to secure their first place position whilst BEKO dominated the court, racking up 48 goals to gain the win over 3C Stars. There was great excitement on court 5 as the Interpack Tigers gained their first win of the season, overcoming Caesars 26 goals to 18. The game between Flavourtech Firebirds and Bardney Metal Fabrication saw Flavourtech Firebirds take an easy win, due to a forfeit.
Two of the Griffith Aboriginal Medical Centre - C grade games were not played this week due to forfeits. This resulted in Here If You Need and Vaccari's Bakery gaining some easy points. In the other two games JBS Thunderbirds remain first on the ladder after a solid win over Rep 13s whilst Rep 12s racked up one the greatest scores we have seen, shooting a massive 73 goals to defeat The Force.
Owen Toyota - B grade began with Deadlies taking a convincing win over EM Photography. The match between SPS/Doms/Bowmans and AES Rockets proved to be a closer game but SPS/Doms/Bowmans came out the victors on the day. SJR Industries had the bye.
Athlete's Foot - A grade competition is very close. This week saw shuffling of the top four positions as the top teams matched up against each other. Casella Wines are now sitting in third position after defeating CRF Plumbing / Citrus Motel, who dropped into second place. This left first place open for BMF who moved up after gaining a win over Swifts, who now sit in fourth place. Rep 14s took the win over DeBortoli Wines.
It was another great day at Griffith Netball. We would like to thank everyone who got into the spirit of Blue Socks and Crazy Hair Day.
Griffith Netball Association would like to wish Meke Azz all the very best as they travel to Bali to represent NSW in mixed netball.
