And Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes coach Marie Campbell says they will need finals intensity to knock off minor premiers Collingullie-Glenfield Park in this weekend's final round.

The Goannas are certain to play defending premiers Wagga Tigers in the qualifying final but the clash with the Demons is a chance to make a statement before finals begin next week.

MCUE won 51-41 at Griffith on Saturday, with the Swans set to play Coolamon in the elimination final.

After going down by a single goal to Collingullie in their previous meeting this season, Campbell doesn't feel they need to claim their scalp to take belief into finals.

"I think it helps for the younger girls to get that bit of extra belief. I think the older girls carry that strong resolve anyway," she said.

"Even if that's not the case (that we win), the last few years are a fair indicator it doesn't necessarily mean you'll take the whole thing out even if you've had a dominant season.

"The first time we played them it had that finals like intensity. I think both teams will have to bring that to be competitive."

Campbell said Griffith have enough weaponry to present a challenge through finals.

"They've got some very strong players in that team that can definitely allow them to score pretty quickly, particularly with their mid-courters," she said.

"Whether they can take the whole thing out time will tell, but their mid-court and supply is their strongest asset."

In other games Leeton Whitton beat Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong 53-46, Collingullie thrashed Turvey Park 47-19 and Tigers edged Coolamon 42-38.
