It was the Blueheelers who were able to start strongly getting across for the first try of the day through Billy Hale, but the Waratahs were able to answer soon after as Daniel Judd crashed over.
Yenda was able to build a bit of a lead with back to back tries with Apisai Loaloadravu getting over after a mistake from the Waratahs at the kick-off while Hale got across for this second of the match soon after to see the Blueheelers leading 16-4.
Yenda was able to make it three straight tries with Zac Whitworth getting over after making a break through the heart of the Waratahs defence, but the Tigers were able to hit back just before the break with Sione Tulahe getting over to see Yenda leading 22-10 at halftime.
The Waratahs need to score first in the second half and fid with Luke Farmer getting over before the Tigers were awarded an eight-point try which saw them pull level with 13 minutes remaining.
It was Hale who made the difference as he crossed for his third for the match to secure the 28-22 win for Yenda.
The Blueheelers will now take on minor premiers Darlington Point Coleambally at Exies Oval next Sunday while Waratahs will head to Darlington Point on Saturday to take on Leeton.
