The playground has been designed to cater to all members of the community and contains a 25 metre flying fox, a four metre high climbing pyramid, a sensory zone, a basket swing and a wheelchair-accessible spinner and sand digger.
Griffith mayor John Dal Broi said the upgrade to the park allows community members of all ages to utilise the facilities.
"It's exciting to see the new equipment that has been installed offering different experiences for everyone to enjoy," he said.
"These inclusive playgrounds are not just for youth with disabilities, but also for elderly people such as grandparents who have accessibility requirements when playing with their grandchildren."
A new wheelchair-accessible barbeque and picnic area has also been constructed adjacent to the playground at the park.

The upgrade to the park is part of Griffith City Council's initiative to continually improve park facilities in the area.
Enticknap Park is considered one of seven precinct parks in the local government area, with only City Park holding a higher ranking under the council's playground development strategy.
The upgrade to Enticknap Park was one of 12 developments considered high priority by the strategy.
The strategy was first adopted by council in 2013.
The playground will open at 4pm on Wednesday with a free barbeque.
