Having made the finals for the first time since 2016 when they finished runners-up to Tullibigeal Lake Cargelligo having missed out narrowly on percentage in 2017 and 2018.
Co-coach Jake Goodwin feels that it is a great time to be at the club.
"It has been a really good year for the club," he said.
"Especially having all grades in the finals, it has been a successful year, and I'm just happy to be apart of it."
The Mallee Men are coming into the game off the back of a big win over TLU in the final round, and Goodwin said the goal was for his side to keep their composure.
"We wanted to minimise our errors and be clinical in our sets," he said.
"We knew the game could get away pretty quickly, and we didn't want it to affect the way that we played. Unfortunately we picked up an injury, but hopefully, he won't be out for too long."
The side's met two weeks earlier at the same venue, and Goodwin feels he knows how to combat the Yanco-Wamoon side.
"They were quick around the ruck," he said.
"We have to slow them down because they play up-tempo football and it really works for them.
"Have to watch out for Levi Freeman, he is good on the edge as well as Troy Preston. They are the leaders of their team, and if we can control them, it will go along way to winning the match."
In the meeting between the two sides earlier in the season both games have gone the way of the Hawks. The clash at Ron Crowe Oval saw the Hawks pick up an 18-12 win in round eight while the Yanco-Wamoon side came away with a 14-8 win in round 17.
The qualifying final will get underway at around 3.15pm on Sunday afternoon. The action gets underway at 10am with Waratahs and West Wyalong facing off in the under 16s.
