Genevieve Chadwick takes the stage at the Exies Club on Saturday from 8pm on Saturday. The Hotel Victoria hosts Crooked Crows from 8pm on Saturday. Out with the Old in with the New will perform at the Southside Leagues Club at 8.30pm on Saturday.

Exhibition draws together local, state and international artists
Twenty-two artists from the Riverina, Wollongong and Liverpool in England will have their work exhibited in Griffith Regional Art Gallery. The new exhibition has been curated by Sarah McEwan from the Cad Factory and highlights emerging and established artists with a disability. Among the exhibition will be work from four senior students from the Kalinda School. The exhibition opens on Friday, August 16 with an official opening from 6pm to 8pm. A forum talking about local and international art practices will be held at the gallery on Saturday, August 17 from 11am to 2pm. Both events are free to attend. The exhibition continues until September 22.
TEEYAN FESTIVAL
Griffith's Punjabi community host traditional festival celebrating start of monsoon season
The Teeyan Festival is one of the most anticipated dates on the Punjabi calendar and has a focus on the start of monsoon season and a community's daughters and sisters. Griffith's Yoogali Club will come alive with traditional signing, dancing and mouthwatering food. It starts at 11am on Saturday, with tickets $15 at the door which includes lunch, afternoon tea and plenty of chai tea.

Fresh food, crafts and more at Griffith Showgrounds
Griffith Rotary's markets open from 7am until midday on Sunday. Stallholders will have everything from locally grown fruit and veg to home-made garden furniture and more.
