The area will receive four officers who will specialise across the fields of anaesthetics, emergency medicine, obstetrics and paediatrics for the 2020 clinical year, which commences on February 3, 2020.
The positions come from the NSW government's Rural Generalist Medical Training Program, which allows junior doctors to develop skills in general practice and specialised fields while stationed in regional and rural areas.
The Parliamentary Secretary for Health in NSW, Natasha Maclaren-Jones, said the program provides a good opportunity for junior doctors to develop skills which will help provide better medical services in regional communities.
"The program is a win-win for both aspiring doctors and rural communities," she said.
"It plays a key role in developing a medical workforce with advanced skills to service the two million people who call rural and regional NSW home."
Ms Maclaren-Jones said the training pathway would prove a challenging training ground for young, aspiring doctors looking to get their foot in the door.
"Junior doctors undertaking this training pathway will benefit from a broad and challenging range of clinical practice, while enjoying the fresh, exhilarating experience of rural life and being part of a close-knit community," she said.

A record 71 positions have been offered across 19 regional and rural locations for the next clinical year by the program, with Griffith one of two locations covered by the Murrumbidgee Local Health District to receive positions along with Wagga Wagga, which has been allocated five positions.
Seven training pathways are offered by the program, but the emergency medicine/obstetrics, mental health and palliative care pathways were not allocated a position in Griffith for 2020.
Junior medical officers will be trained for up to four years under the program, which has operated since 2013.
Close to 200 junior medical officers have been stationed in rural and regional areas since the beginning of the program.
Other locations to receive junior medical officers as part of the 2020 clinical year include Bega, Broken Hill, Coffs Harbour, Grafton, Lismore, Maitland, Nowra, Orange and Tamworth.
