After a dramatic series of twists and turns the Blacks ultimately fell to the Phantoms by a mere two points, ending the match 29-31.
The Phantoms started the game on the front foot, securing an early 21-10 lead against the Blacks after some fast plays early in the match.
However the Blacks managed to turn the tides of the game, putting on the pressure against the Phantoms and gradually closing the gap with some rapid tries.

However, the Blacks will still be heading into the Southern Inland Rugby Union finals having already secured a spot after defeating the Tumut Bulls 47-26 in the last round.
They'll be hoping to play at full strength during the finals series, with several key players coming back after recovering from injuries sustained during their last match against Tumut.
The Leeton Phantoms won't be continuing on into the finals, but they will be ending the season on a high note after taking a win from their arch-rivals.
The Semi Finals will be hosted by Wagga Wagga Waratahs at Conolly Rugby Park on Saturday August 17.
