Nathan Rowley will represent Australia at the upcoming 2019 World Youth Archery Championships in Madrid.
The 18-year-old previously represented Australia during the 2017 championships, claiming a fourth place finish in the outdoor compound bow category.
Rowley said the aim this time around is to go one better.
"Hopefully [I can] get a place this time, that's the ultimate goal, but it's just a good experience really," he said.
"It's not starting to sink in at the moment, but i'm feeling pretty good."
Rowley missed out on third place by a single point in 2017, going down 143-142 to Mexico's Edgar Diaz in the bronze medal playoff.
"He shot a 29 in the final round and I shot a 28 and my last arrow was an eight," he said.
"If it had been a nine we would have tied and if it was a ten I would have won.
"Hopefully the ten comes out this time."

Rowley - a builder by trade - has had to balance his working commitments with his sporting career, with the archer having to construct a pair of makeshift ranges at his home and his father's business Griffith Recycling, in order to practice outside of his once-a-month training visit to Canberra.
He said the range set up at Griffith Recycling in particular produces curious onlookers on occasion.
"It's quite funny when i'm shooting 90 metres there and you are standing there almost on the side of the road," he said.
"People will drive down past [us] like 'you shouldn't be doing that on the road' but it's not a road, we own the road."
Rowley will be a part of a three person side representing Australia in the junior mens compound bow category overseen by coach and former Olympian Melissa Mongan, who doubles as Rowley's personal coach.
The other two archers, Harri Howden and Remy Leonard, will compete alongside Rowley in the outdoor team category at the championships.
The side will assemble for a three-day training camp in Madrid before the competition gets under way on August 19.
