The 39-year-old driving a Victorian plated car was pulled over by police at 12.30am on Henry Street for a random breath test.
With the positive result, she was arrested and taken back to the station for a breath analysis.
Upon the delivery of the high range 0.20 result, she was issued with a court attendance notice and her license was suspended.
Anyone caught drink-driving over the legal 0.05 limit in NSW can now lose their licence immediately under a tough penalty regime that will also see offenders fined almost $600.
First time, low-range drink-drivers from May 20 can be slapped with an on-the-spot suspension of their licence for three months and a fine of $561.
