Facing off against 107 teams with no subs, it was always going to be a tough weekend.
Competition started with a game against Nepean, and it took the team most of the first half to settle with their new team mates.
In a see-sawing match, neither team was able to score, despite Griffith having the advantage of playing on the grass all the time.
The next two, two games were played, with the first against Far North Coast.
Griffith were unable to score again, but neither could their opposition because of the team's strong halves of Prue Brown, Adele Potgieter and Erin Flynn.
After two draws, Griffith needed to win and at half-time they were up 2-1 against Hunter thanks to Nat Cassidy scoring twice.
In the second half, Griffith really fired up with goals to Lauren Marshall, Amie Salvestro and a stroke to Potgieter.
The next game was against Bathurst and while they were lowest ranked team, the Griffith women weren't taking any chances.
Gail Colling and Salvestro scored the goals to deliver a 3-nil win to Griffith.
To make the final, the women had to win their match against Parkes and in a closely-fought game, Griffith's match fitness came to the fore and made the difference.
Min McCrohon was dominant and Cassidy was in the right place at the right time and scored two goals from a deflection and a great pass.
The grand final for the Over 35s division was against Nepean and both teams had strong back lines, with Griffith's Lisa Peterson, Lorraine Maxwell and goalie Emily Perkins being impassable.
It meant play was focused in the middle of the field with Nepean's defence preventing any break throughs.
The match finished on a draw and Griffith's Over 35s were crowned champions for the second year in row.
