The Motor Neurone Disease Support Group got an extra spring its step when the Griffith Social Dancers handed them a cheque for $1000 on July 12.

MND support group publicity officer Fay Pilloni said the money would go a long way to help families in their hour of need.
"We help them pay for equipment they need and we give emotional support," Mrs Pilloni said.
"The money will help us support local families - that's what we're here for."
The Griffith Social Dancers raised the money during their monthly old-timey dances, which they hold on the second Friday of every month at the Griffith Ex Serviceman's Club.
They've been dancing away for the past 21 years and over that time have donated over $83,000 to 25 local charities.
This time around they chose to support the Griffith and District Motor Neurone Support Group, which currently supports 11 patients and their families in the local area.
Their next AGM will be at 6pm September 9 at the Southside Leagues Club.
Anybody who is interested in joining the group is welcome to come along.
