The Waratahs side was without their coach Kose Lelei who missed the clash through illness, and the Greens took full advantage.
With the two points, the Leeton side has secured their finals berth with two rounds remaining having missed the finals by a single point last season and keeps them in the fight for a top-three spot in a congested top five.
Leeton coach Warren Weir said it was a great feeling to know that their place in finals was secured.
"It was a great performance from the boys and probably one of the first full 80 minute performances without fatigue setting in late.
"It was obviously one of our goals (to make finals), and now we can look to try and tick off another goal if we can break into the top three."
Kelevi Ralulu and Adam Twigg led the way for the Greens with two tries each while Teague Studholme and Josh Fisher scored a try each to help their side wrap up a finals position.
The performance of Ralulu was not missed by his coach or the rest of the team.
"Kelevi had a big game for us and picked up player's player as well," he said.
"I thought both our centres (Ralulu and Josh Fisher) had great games. It had been something we had been missing in attack, and they both played really well.
"I thought Harrison Rudd and Quinton Heke also really stepped it up in the halves."
For the Waratahs, Jonathon Sila, Luke Farmer and Ben Vearing were the point scorers on a tough afternoon.
The Greens will look to carry this momentum into the finals as they take on Darlington Point Coleambally next weekend before finishing the season with a local derby against Yanco-Wamoon.
Weir is all too aware of the difficulty his side face next weekend.
"It will be a big game out at the Point next weekend," he said.
"They have been going well in recent weeks and had a couple of boys out the first time we met them, and Ben Jeffery got injured early on.
"It has also been a while since the Greens picked up a win out there."
