Griffith and Regional Association of the Performing Arts (GRAPA) will be holding auditions this weekend for their production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Their annual event of Shakespeare Under The Stars gathers acting, lighting and musical talent from the region, and offers the chance to scratch that itch to perform.
One of Shakespeare's most popular comedies, A Midsummer Night's Dream is full of magic, fairies, love and mischief.
We have months to rehearse and work on specific skills, but we are really keen to find people who want to get involved, and people who will give it 110 per cent.
- Director Bonnie Owen
Director Bonnie Owen is excited to be putting on A Midsummer Night's Dream, especially after a successful run of Twelfth Night last year.
She said this play has so many interesting characters, with opportunities for really confident performers to shine, but also chances for newbies to give it a go.
"Last year was a fantastic year as we had so many new people in the production, some of whom had never performed a day in their lives," Miss Owen said.
"In terms of what we are looking for, the main thing is a passion to perform, create or do something new.
"We have months to rehearse and work on specific skills, but we are really keen to find people who want to get involved, and people who will give it 110 per cent."
But it's not just acting: GRAPA are also looking for people who may want to be involved in other areas of the production like set design, costumes and music.

"This will be the first time we have done A Midsummer Night's Dream and we are really excited as this play is so well suited to such a beautiful and magical space," Ms Owen said.
