Set up at Bunnings near the BBQ area from 10am to 2pm this Sunday July 21, Griffith residents can buy vouchers at a discounted rate.
Friends of Griffith Pound committee member Virginia Tropeano has been thrilled by the response so far, and encouraged those who had not yet gotten their vouchers to do so.
"This will be the last opportunity for eligible pet owners to purchase vouchers at a greatly reduced price," Ms Tropeano said.
Up to now the campaign has only been available for female cats and dogs but for this last event, the team are opening it up to also include males as well.
To be eligible, pet owners must reside in the Griffith City Council area and be able to produce their pension or health care concession card.
Vouchers will cost $55 for cats. Dogs are $95 if they weigh under 25kgs and $130 if over 25kgs.
This local Campaign is part of the National Desexing Month which is run all over Australia during July.
Vouchers will expire at the end of the month, unless a booking has been made before then at either of the participating vet clinics.
"Griffith Veterinary Hospital and All Creatures Veterinary Hospital are accepting the vouchers, and have generously helped us with subsidised rates," Ms Tropeano said.
Funding for the drive has been received from Animal Welfare League NSW and Griffith City Council.
