Greg Paterson from Grassroots Enduro Australia said that this event isn't like the traditional enduro events that take place around Australia.
"Hard Enduro is far more technical, involves riding off road enduro bikes over extremely difficult terrain," he said.
"Many hard enduro riders come from a trials bike background and transfer their skills over to enduro."
The format is only in it's infancy in Australia but is popular with riders from overseas mostly focused around Europe.
"This is our "Grassroots Enduro Australia" forth event since kicking of in 2019," he said.
"Hard enduro has a massive following in Europe and South Africa, the scene in Europe draws thousands from over world.
"We have 160 riders lined up to race over Saturday and Sunday, the race consists of a man made prologue, flowing single tracks along with steep climbs & descents through some crazy rocky hills.
"Riders will punish themselves for pride and the passion of hard enduro, even if they don't finish they will experience many "wins" as they ride around the circuit and concur each rocky ledge and slippery creekbed."
