In the semi finals played at Goolgowi last Saturday, last season's premiers Rankins Springs had to work hard before edging out a tenacious Ivanhoe side 18-16 while Narrandera went down to a well drilled Goolgowi outfit 26-10.
The Springs chances of going on to challenge Goolgowi in Ivanhoe for the premiership honours rest on a number of players including Billy Vearing, Brent Parsons, Todd McCarten, Damien Walker, Billy Overall, Kane Wilson, Jamie Parsons and props John Power and Josh Johnson.
Narrandera who has arguably the quickest backline in the competition will be looking for stand-out games from D'Andre Williams, Shane Squires, Gary Ingram, Troy Prior and hooker Corey Prior.
These two met back in round three of the competition with the Dragons running out big winners 46-10. Narrandera are a far better sie now than it was back then and there is little doubt the Lizards will give this one a mighty shake.
The action at Yanco will get underway at 1pm with a women's tackle nine game before the men's preliminary final between the Lizards and Dragons kicks off at around 2.30pm.
