The Hanwood side is 10 points ahead of their nearest rivals Tolland after picking up a 2-0 win over the Wagga United side on Sunday morning.
Airlee Savage and Tara Ceccato continued their great scoring form in recent weeks score a goal each.
Ceccato has now scored seven goals in three games while Savage has scored three goals in four as the pairing is helping to keep Hanwood in a strong position.
The Hanwood side has the bye this weekend with the competition taking the week off before they return for a clash with Leeton United in two weeks time.
Leeton will be coming off a two-week break having not played last weekend before the competition bye.
Hanwood should be able to continue their strong season having picked up a 6-1 win over United when the two sides met at Hanwood Oval in round seven.
