Lydia Hanna competed in the strongly contested Associate A grade showjumping class which was held over the first two days of the competition.
Georgia and Rebecca competed in the eventing. Eventing involves 3 phases - dressage, showjumping and cross country.
The competition is held over two days with the cross country phase held on the second day and consisting of 25 obstacles including water jumps, banks and drops spread out over almost 3km.
Horse and rider not only have to jump clear but also at a speed of more than 450m per minute or they attract time penalties.
Both girls competed in the 95cm Associate section with much success. Rebecca and her horse Kinnordy GR Gusto, established a very narrow lead over the next closest competitor, after doing a beautiful dressage test.
The pair then managed faultless showjumping and cross country rounds to maintain their lead and take out the championship.
Georgia West was placed mid-field after dressage. She was unlucky to pull two rails in the show jumping on her horse Tom Thumb, but recovered to do a very strong cross country to bring her up to 4th place overall.
The Zone 21 Team of Georgia, Rebecca and sisters Alice and Kate Langley from Narrandera Pony Club were also awarded a special prize from event sponsors, Tuffrock, for displaying great sportsmanship.
