Competing at Sydney Olympic Park recently, Donaldson had two top ten finishes in the Mens 14years 100m Breastroke and 200M Individual Medley, before taking out the Mens 14yrs 100m Butterfly title.
Competing against swimmers from all over country NSW including swimmers from Newcastle and Wollongong, Donaldson took an early lead in the event and held his competitors at bay to take the win.
This is the third year in a row Donaldson has won this event at the NSW Country Championships and he will now progress to the ACT Championships and the NSW State Championships in August. Donaldson paid credit to his coaches from the Griffith Regional Aquatic Centre who have maintained him on a rigorous training schedule, with some sessions seeing him clock up to 7km of laps, in preparation for competition..
