A family has escaped harm after fire significantly destroyed the home they were in on Sunday morning.

Firefighters from Fire and Rescue NSW and the NSW Rural Fire Service were called to Old Willbriggie Road at 1.58am on Sunday.
The blaze took around 40 minutes to bring under control before it was extinguished.
An RFS spokesman said the homeowner was woken by a strange noise in the home and found a fire had started.
The man woke his family and they were able to escape from the blaze.

When firefighters arrived at the property, they found the timber and fibro home well-alight, with Fire and Rescue NSW crews attending from Griffith, Yenda and Leeton.
Two RFS crews assisted and helped remove gas bottles from the property.
The fire has significantly damaged the property, and investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing.
