Yenda Public School teacher Anna Melvin said efforts to raise money for the Heart Foundation had been spearheaded by the year 5/6 class.

While lead by older students, over $2700 had been raised so far which had been a combined effort between Yenda Public's community and the school.
Ms Melvin said students had been skipping all through June for Jump Rope for Heart.
"They took it upon themselves to upload their efforts to the internet, and canvassed parents, friends and family through social media and in person," Ms Melvin said.
The final fundraising push coincided with an event on Thursday, during the final week of term two which had been designed by the school's senior students to challenge staff and students alike.
In the language of the school yard students were challenged to the 'double criss-cross' and 'double Dutch' as well as being able to skip rope solo.
Miss Melvin said it was all about keeping students healthy and active and supporting a good cause.
