The home side was able to make a fast start with a double to Pili Maiava seeing the Waratahs leading 20-0 after 15 minutes.
That was a sign of things to come as the Waratahs lead 48-12 at the break.
Tom Sellars finished the game with four tries while Jonathon Sila and Semi Rauluni joined Maiava on two tries each for the Waratahs while for the Sharks, Alexander Marr scored one of their two tries.
The Waratahs now hold a four-point lead at the top of the table following some surprise results over the weekend and will look to continue their momentum when they take on Hay next weekend.
TLU will return home to take on DPC.
