This will be for work to deliver wider road shoulders and drain crossings on a two-kilometre section of road west of Bilbul.
Work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm from Mondays to Saturdays from Tuesday 18 June until early August, weather permitting.
A wider road in this location will support safer travelling conditions for all road users and will enable further progress for this already busy area.
Heavy vehicle detours will be in place with wide loads over five metres to detour via Whitton Stock Route and the Irrigation Way while drainage improvements are carried out, adding an extra five minutes to the journey.
Electronic messaging signs will be in place to alert drivers when this is happening.
Motorists are advised to allow up to five minutes extra travel time to their journey while work is under way.
For the safety of motorists and workers, lane closures, traffic control and reduced speed limits will be in place during work hours and after hours.
