The Rhinos started the better of the two sides, and after Roy Catanzariti won a free kick at the top of the box, Conor Earley looked to make the most of the ball in a dangerous position.
The free kick was well struck and looked destined to find the bottom corner before being turned away, but the Tuggeranong keeper and the defence was able to dispose of the rebound.
The combination between Ally McLeod, who was playing as the target man and Keith Jackson also looked dangerous in the early stages, but the final ball into the box lacked the accuracy needed.
Tuggeranong came close to opening the scoring and would have taken the lead if not for a goal-line clearance from Jacob Donadel before the Rhinos took the ball up the other end and Jackson had a chance but couldn't get the ball past the Tuggeranong keeper.
The Rhinos survived another close call after a fortunate rebound found its way to Jono Turek, but his shot was saved by Adrian Montagner in the Rhinos goal.
The home side didn't have to wait much longer to take the lead as Aisosa Ihegie was able to dance around the Rhinos defence and place the ball into the bottom corner to take a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
The Rhinos came out looking determined to turn the game around in the second half and pick up their first points of the season.
Earley looked the most dangerous for the Riverina side as he was able to get a dangerous ball into the box which floated across the six-yard box with the Rhinos attackers unable to get the crucial touch required.
Despite looking the better of the two sides in the second half, a defensive calamity at the back after miscommunication between Grant Davidson and Montagner saw the ball end up at the feet of Edward Coggan who made no mistake in steering the ball into the open net.
A goal with two minutes left in the game to Daniel Roberts wrapped up the 3-0 win for the Tuggeranong side.
