Art by contemporary Aboriginal artists, Michael Jalaru Torres, Asher Milgate and Joe Hurst will be feature at the Griffith Regional Art Gallery until July 7. The exhibition includes a collaboration between indigenous artist Asher Milgate and non-indigenous man Jeff Amatto revealing who's lives are intertwined through family, friends and drug abuse. The official opening of the exhibition is at 6pm on Friday, June 7 at the Griffith Regional Gallery.
23RD SHAHEEDI TOURNAMENT
The tournament is also known as the Sikh Games
The 23rd Shaheedi Memorial Tournament is hosted by Griffith's Gurdwara Singh Sabha Society and thousands of Sikhs have arrived in the city earlier this week for religious events and the sporting tournament this weekend. The tournament includes serious competitions such as soccer, wrestling, kabaddi, volleyball to more relaxed fun games. The games will be held at Ted Scobie Oval and West End stadium on Saturday and Sunday, starting from 10am until 6pm.
LEGALLY BLONDE
Community theatre production hits the stage
Months spent learning lines and dance moves will be put to good use as Legally Blonde hits the stage for three performances this weekend. The first is on Friday from 7.30pm, with a matinee on Saturday at 1pm with an evening performance from 7.30pm. Tickets are $45 for adults, $30 for theatre members, and $20 for people under 18-years-old.

Mersey Beats perform at the Coro Club from 7.30pm on Friday. Marissa and the Decoders takes the stage at the Exies Club on Saturday from 8pm on Saturday. Hotel Victoria hosts Yeah Nah from 8.30pm on Saturday. Ali Cat will perform at the Southside Leagues Club from 8.30pm on Saturday.

Griffith Rotary's markets open from 7am until midday on Sunday. Stallholders will have everything from locally grown fruit and veg to home-made garden furniture and more.
