The Greens trailed 16-10 in the break before scoring 26 unanswered points to take the two points sees them maintain their position inside the top five.
After a period of sustained pressure on the Greens defensive line, the Roosters were able to open the scoring with Ryan Hickman able to get over the line six minutes in.
The Greens hit back quickly with Harrison Rudd able to find a hole in the Roosters defence before the visiting side retook the lead with Josh Veivers scoring next to the post.
Elwyn Ravu closed the gap again for the Greens with a try to make it 10-all before a cut out pass put Daniel Brain over the line to give the Roosters a 16-10 lead.
That was the last of the scoring for the Roosters with Leeton making a fast start to the second stanza with Ty Fletcher and Kelevi Ralulu getting over to give their side the advantage.
A penalty goal from Kirtis Fisher put the game further out of reach before De'Andre Williams and Ralulu wrapped up the 36-16 win.
Greens coach Warren Weir was pleased with his side's improvement in the second half.
"The start of the game was a little bit concerning again. It was nine minutes in before we actually got the ball. We were just making mistakes dropping the ball and giving penalties away," he said.
"It is hard to give sides that much possession. It just takes too much out of you and then when you do get the ball you are fatigued, and you can't score points, so I was very happy to go in a 16-10.
"If we could get 50 per cent of the ball we knew we would come away with the win. We went out, and I think we only made one mistake in the second half and the completion rates were high, and that was telling on the scoreboard."
Weir praised the work of his young key position players for their impact in the win.
"I though Elwyn was good in his first game back," he said.
"My six and seven, Kirtis (Fisher) and young Ruddy (Harrison Rudd), they are a new combination it has only been in the last two weeks, and I thought they lead us around the field pretty well."
Weir was pleased with his side's work around the ruck as well and saw similarities between today's effort and in their win earlier in the season against West Wyalong.
The task at hand only gets tougher for the Greens as they prepare for the local derby against Yanco-Wamoon while DPC will take on Waratahs.
