There were no shortage of volunteers to shine a spotlight on for Volunteers Week, but you'd be hard pressed to find a person more driven than Olga Forner.
Mrs Forner has helped over 6000 families go through their battle with cancer during her 17 years at Griffith Can Assist.
She hasn't been paid a single cent during that time, but what she does get is a feeling that can't be bought with money.
"It's a good feeling, knowing you're giving back to your community," Mrs Forner said.
"We have about 40 members on the team, and they're all passionate volunteers who contribute as much as they can."
The Can Assist volunteers raise money to help families struggling with cancer, whether that's paying for trips to the hospital, pharmaceuticals, treatment, or other related expenses.
It's a genuine life-saver for families who would otherwise be unable to pay for all the cancer-related costs.
Her volunteers help in other ways; they lend a sympathetic ear and a shoulder to cry on for those going through dark times.
Mrs Forner has heard stories of tragedy and heartbreak over the years, but she's also heard many happy stories.
"When someone comes back to the office and says 'guess what, I'm cancer free' - that's pretty special," she said.
"It's tears, it's happiness, it's fun, it's laughter, it's what motivates us."
Griffith Can Assist's next fundraiser will be a joint barbecue with Rawlinson and Brown to celebrate the end of their fertiliser fundraiser.
Rawlinson and Brown have been setting aside $1 for every tonne of fertiliser sold, and they've managed to raise over $900 for Can Assist.
The barbecue fundraiser will be outside the Rawlinson and Brown building on May 31 from 12pm to 3pm, with all money raised going directly to Griffith Can Assist.
Those interested in joining Griffith Can Assist can call Olga Forner on 0429 645 264.
