Rhinos coach Gabriel Abdala said there had been a lot of attention put towards the forward placing the ball into the net at training.
"Both sessions this week have been focused on creating and finishing chances," he said.
"It is just about getting that feeling of finding the back of the net, and we had a game against the under 18s just to get the mentality."
One hope is that players like Mitch Bagiante who have been finding the back of the net regularly for his club side Yoogali SC will be able to carry that form into the National Premier League matches.
"It can be hard to transition form from one level to the next," he said.
"Mitch is one of those players, and so is Keith (Jackson) that once they break their duck, they will start to find the back of the net with regularity."
The Rhinos will be making the trip to Canberra without their skipper Joe Preece who is suspended after picking up two yellow cards last week.
The game between the Rhinos and Gungahlin will kick off at around 3pm.
