Round 3 of Griffith netball was set to be a beautiful day, and it didn't disappoint. The sun was shining, and at times, it was like playing on a warm summer's day.

The day started with the NetSet Go girls cheerfully running through some skills based activities. Then at 10am our first match of the day got underway, with the 8/9's, Area Refrigeration All Stars taking on Let's Go Glamping Party Hire Shooting Stars. Both teams showed great enthusiasm, but in the end, it was Area Refrigeration who came away with the win.
The 11am games saw the 8/9s newcomers, Diamonds come up against the more experienced #Teamnato team, who proved too strong on the day, winning convincingly. In the 10/11's JMMAC Trenching got their third win defeating Coro Firebirds, 20 goals to 3. The first games of the 12 years division saw Hotshots narrowly go down by only two goals to Ladybirds, showing a great improvement on the first time these teams met. R & B Diggers also had a win defeating CSP Bluebirds 29 goals to 14.
The sun continued to shine down as the 12pm games took to the courts. In the 10/11's division South Grove Angels defeated Griffith Pet Resort, 16 goals to 2 and Elders Lightning won against Benny Mahon Constructions 12 goals to 6. In D grade Xquisite Dolphins continued their winning streak with yet another convincing win over Flavourtech Firebirds, while Midstate Gunns got their second win, defeating BEKO, 19 goals to 8.
At 1.10pm D grade's Bardney's Metal Fabrication proved to be too strong for the Interpack Tigers, winning by a credible margin. 3C Stars also played a good game to defeat Caesars, 21 goals to 17. In C grade JBS Thunderbirds demonstrated some impressive teamwork to defeat Riverina Poultry Services, 44 goals to 20.
In the 2.20pm timeslot, the players were feeling the full effects of the sun. C grade saw two closely contested games. On court 5 The Force took on Here If You Need. This game was so equally matched that in the end they couldn't be split, resulting in a 22 all draw. Over on court 3 Rep 12s went up against Vaccari's Bakery. The game was very close and a great one to watch, but in the end, the more experience team came out on top with Vaccari's Bakery winning 38 goals to 34. Other winners of this timeslot were, B grade, EM Photography defeating AES Rockets, 45 goals to 30 and A grade, CRF Plumbing / Citrus Motel defeating BMF, 23 goals to 20.
At 3.30pm C grade's Rep 13's put their training to good use, displaying some very impressive skills right across the court and coming away with a convincing win over 12R. The last B grade game of the day ended with SJR Industries coming away with a win over Deadlies while in A grade Pinnacle defeated DeBortoli Wines, 33 goals to 28 and Swifts recorded their second win, defeating Rep 14s, by an impressive margin.
Just a general reminder to all teams that there is a General Meeting on Monday 27th May at 7pm at the Southside Leagues Club. One representative from each team must attend, or a loss of 2 competition points will be incurred.
