A man has faced Griffith Local Court charged with trespassing after getting "heavily intoxicated" before going to the wrong house looking for his girlfriend, and defecating on the doorstep.

The charges came about after Iaykovos Jack Kokkinidis came and rang a McCudden Street family's doorbell at almost 2am in March.
The 25-year-old repeatedly asked for his girlfriend, losing her after apparently attending a housewarming party nearby.
The residents told him she did not live there and to leave as he wasn't welcome. He became increasingly aggressive, pulling on the door trying to open it.
He was told to leave again but remained there, and fearing for their safety, the residents called the police.
Kokkinidis tried to leave just as officers arrived, in time to see him scale the fence going into the back of the property. They arrested him for trespassing.
As they spoke to him, they noted he was not wearing any pants.
He told police he was going around the back to get into the house, as he believed he was at home in Leeton. When they pointed out he was in fact in Griffith, he said he accepted and understood why he was under arrest.
Police could, at this point in time, smell what seemed to be human faeces. They then noticed a brown stain down Kokkinidis' leg.
When they went to speak to the family, they found the source of the smell piled on their doorstep. In a statement to the police, the family said they feared for their safety due to his demeanor.

William Glowrey, Kokkinidis' representative, told Magistrate Boulos his client could not remember leaving the party.
"I've read the facts, and you can tell he is well and truly intoxicated," Ms Boulos said.
Detailing he was experiencing difficulty with mental health issues, Mr Glowrey said Kokkinidis knows he should've stayed at home, and not consumed a whole bottle of Jack Daniels.
Ms Boulos spoke to Kokkinidis, telling him he should be "ashamed" of his behaviour.
"You drank an entire bottle of Jack Daniels," Ms Boulos said.
"If you cannot control yourself when you drink, you shouldn't drink at all. You startled those people... causing havoc among other things."
She took into consideration his good character references and accepted it as a "foolish mistake".
He was convicted for trespassing and fined $300.
