To help demonstrate the diversity of older people in our community, Griffith City Library is hosting The Art of Ageing Exhibition, an initiative under the NSW Ageing Strategy 2016-20.
The vibrant and intriguing exhibition celebrates the value, experience and contribution older people bring, and challenges outdated perceptions of ageing.
The exhibition comprises 30 images taken by five photographers from Wagga Wagga, Taree, Molong, Mudgee and Goulburn.
Each photo is accompanied by a short story highlighting the subject's experiences and reflections on ageing.
View the display at the library until June 21.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are advised the exhibition contains images of deceased persons.
As we all know, technology is continuously being updated or changed.
Don't be left behind, book a device advice appointment at the library.
One of our friendly staff members will assist you with any smartphone or tablet queries you may have.
Whether it is adding a contact or downloading and utilising apps, the library is happy to help.
Device advice appointments will be held Wednesday afternoons; call the library to secure your place.
Celebrate Griffith's Italian heritage at multicultural storytime.
Children will learn Italian phrases and help make Nonna's famous pasta. Join the festa on Friday, June 21 at 10am.
Griffith City Library's Knatty Knitters will again be supporting Wrapped with Love during June and July.
They will knit colourful blankets to keep Australians in need warm this winter.
