The Rhinos made a fast start and broke the deadlock in the fourth minute. Jack Moon was able to win a free kick and was able to whip the free kick into the area. The Cooma keeper appeared to misjudge the shot, and the ball floated into the back of the net.
The Rhinos were able to double their lead in the 24 minutes through Alexander Mulrooney Castellano. After a corner from Jordan Serena wasn't dealt with by the Tigers defence, and the ball found the attacking midfield who blasted it into the net.
On the brink of halftime, the Rhinos picked up a third after Roy Catanzariti was able to show his skill with the ball at his feet to dance around three Tigers defenders and place the ball past the keeper.
Tigers scored a consolation goal in the second half, but the Rhinos were able to hold onto the two-goal cushion and pick up their first points of the season.
The first-grade Rhinos side wasn't as fortunate during their game against the top of the table Tigers who are yet to lose a game this season.
The task was made even harder when Jacob Donadel gave away a penalty just before the half-hour mark, and the issue was compounded when Luke Santolin was sent to the sin bin for 10 minutes after showing decent following the awarding of the penalty.
While Rhinos' keeper Mitchell Woods was able to save the penalty, the Tigers attackers followed the ball in and tucked away the rebound.
Five minutes later and the Rhinos were on the back foot again after the referee deemed that captain Joe Preece had handled the ball in the box to give the Tigers another chance from the spot which they capitalised on to make it 2-0.
Shortly after the break, the Rhinos were able to get their first goal of the season, but it didn't come as they would have imagined as a cross from Keith Jackson was turned into the net by a Tigers defender.
The own goal did little to affect the home side however as they picked up the three points with a 4-1 victory.
