Located at 98-100 Mackay Avenue, Yoogali Veterinary Centre opened for business in April this year and is the brainchild of vet and owner Dr Kim Martel.
Dr Martel had operated Griffith Animal Hospital since 2014 and a confluence of growth in the city and the practice meant the time was ripe to invest in a new facility.
"Griffith is one of the fastest-growing inland cities in NSW and I thought it required state-of-the-art, modern facilities," Dr Martel said.
"After a couple of years practising (in Yambil Street) I realised we needed to relocate and we would need a state-of-the-art, purpose-built veterinary hospital."
The new building is three or four times the size of the previous building and includes ample car parking and stabling for equine patients.
"It has been built to a very high standard," Dr Martel said. "Some who have seen it have said it is a better facility than the new hospital."
"The clients we have had through are ecstatic about it, they just love it. It is chalk and cheese, comparing the old facility to the new."

The move also provided an opportunity to change the business name, re-badging from Griffith Animal Hospital to Yoogali Veterinary Centre to reflect its new location and end any confusion that may have existed with other practices.
Practice staff are happy to now be able to stretch out in the new premises.
Vet Angela Quinlan worked at a similar facility in Darwin.
"The tiny Yambil Street clinic was hard to get used to," she said. "I am happy to be back in a five-star facility, where we have room to move and work with our patients. We can get more procedures done in a day, as we are no-longer waiting for equipment to become available."
It has been a long time coming, it is so good to be here.
- Vet nurse Samantha Camm
Dr Allie Cornell admitted the last building was not properly built to suit their needs.
"It is really good for morale having breakout space. Having a better space to talk to clients in makes it more inviting," Dr Cornell said.
"When I was looking (for a place to work), the places with nice clinics were appealing to me. Kim working on our building was a drawcard.
"It is nice and fresh and makes for an exciting environment to be working in."
Samantha Camm has been a vet nurse for seven years and appreciated the larger building with separate housing for dogs, cats and horses.
"It is better for the animals, especially with separate dog and cat rooms," she said. "We can now do a lot more equine work with a nice, big grassy area that is secure. It has been a long time coming, it is so good to be here."
In the end, Dr Martel said it comes down to providing a service that clients demand.
"Pets are part of the family, they are part of the household and people want them to be treated as such," he said.
Yoogali Veterinary Centre will hold an open day at its new facility at 98-100 Mackay Avenue, on May 4 from 11am to 3pm. There will be hospital tours, a horse dental procedure, prizes, giveaways and a jumping castle.
