The Blueheelers started the season with a 42-32 loss to the Black and Whites before having the bye in round two. The Yenda side then fell to a heavy defeat at the hands of West Wyalong and then had last week off again for Easter.

Yenda coach Willie Lolohea is just happy to be taking the field again.

"We really want to pick up the win," he said.

"We have been putting in work to our structure and fitness which has let us down early in the season."

To be sitting 0-2 after the first three rounds isn't where Lolohea would like to be but the young forward still has confidence in his side's ability to turn it around.

"It has been a tough start, and I don't want to make excuses," he said.

"I still think we still have a team who can fight for a finals place.

"We will be looking to blood through some of our younger guys similar to what Leeton did last season."

It is fitting that their opponents for this weekend are the Greens who have enjoyed a strong start to the season with two wins against TLU Sharks and Hay before they lost to the Black and Whites before the Easter break.

Yenda will be boosted by the return of two key components who missed their game against West Wyalong.

"John (Lolohea) is alright," he said.

"He will have a bit of strapping on the ankle but will be good to go after having three weeks off.

"We were missing John and probably the best prop in the Group 20 competition in Chris Latu against West Wyalong, and we were really flat in attack so they will be two big inclusions."

The Greens will be without several of their key young players when they take on the struggling Blueheelers.

Five of Leeton's young brigade are unavailable, leaving coach Warren Weir with several selection decisions to make.

While the club has plenty of depth, five outs is a significant number.

However, in positive news for the senior side, they are expected to welcome back Taina Heke and Dan Hyde into the team.

"It will be Taina's first game for the season, and we will probably have Dan Hyde too," Weir said.

"We'll rush those guys back in to fill the gaps.

"Both of those players have plenty of experience."

The action on Sunday will get underway with the under 16s kicking off at 10am with a full schedule out at Wade Park. The first-grade game will bring the day to a close when it kicks off at 3pm.
