Erin Callaghan took the reigns on April 8 and will be overseeing the centres in both Griffith and Leeton once the sites are all refurbished and ready to go.
The doors are expected to open during the first week of July, according to CUC Western Riverina chair John Dal Broi.
Once it's up and running the CUCWR will offer University-level distance education to students in the region.
"The Board looks forward to working with Ms Callaghan to ensure the success of the Griffith and Leeton facilities," Mr Dal Broi said.
Ms Callaghan will be based in Griffith and will travel to the Leeton site.
Registration to use the Country Universities Centre facilities will be free of charge.
Students will have swipe card access to the centre from early in the morning until late at night.
Ms Callaghan plans to hold information sessions at schools and businesses in the coming months.
