According to the National Livestock Reporting Service numbers eased this sale, with both lamb and mutton showing the decrease.
Lamb quality was similar to that of previous sales, with good numbers of finished lambs offered along with the plainer types.
Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs were well supplied.
The usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to dearer market. Light lambs lifted $5 to make from $121 to $139/head.
Trade weights were also $5 better, with prices varying from $138 to $169/head.
Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs held firm, with lambs up to 26kg making from $167 to $185/head.
Extra heavy weights sold from $184 to $257/head. Carcase prices averaged from 666c to 746c/kg cwt. Mutton quality continues to be mixed and prices remained strong.
Merino ewes sold from $110 to $190/head. Crossbred ewes received from $106 to $227 and Dorper ewes made from $104 to $181/head.
