Lamb quality was fair, with a good offering of grain assisted finished lambs, along with the plainer types. Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs were well supplied. The usual buyers were present and competing strongly in a dearer market. Light lambs averaged $126/head. Trade weights were $4 to $9 dearer, with prices varying from $128 to $168/head. Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs were $8 to $14/head better. Heavy lambs up to 26kg sold from $165 to $189/head. Extra heavy weights varied in price from $186 to $232/head. Carcase prices averaged from 642c to 703c/kg cwt. Mutton numbers remained similar and quality was also consistent with previous sales. Prices followed the week's dearer trend increasing $20 to $30/head. Merino ewes sold from $113 to $190/head. Crossbred ewes made $110 to $210, with Dorper ewes making $103 to $150/head.
