Succulent muffins and the smell of freshly cooked bacon drew big crowds to Griffith Central on Thursday morning for the Griffith Breast Cancer Support Group's Pink Ribbon Breakfast.

President of Griffith Support Group Margaret Moore said around 160 people attended.
With the Griffith Breast Cancer Support Group deciding to schedule the breakfast earlier in the year as compared to October last year, with Mrs Moore saying this year the event has done very well.
"There's just so much in October and people only have so much to go around so it has worked well," Mrs Moore said.
"We raise money for our own local group and the money stays in town, we support clients with their pharmaceutical needs their wigs and anything that is related to their treatment.
"Many (cancer sufferers) may have weekend accommodation needs as well."
Mrs Moore said she was extremely grateful for all the support given by Griffith residents.
Mrs Moore said the residents were more available and more free to enjoyed a more relaxed setting at the breakfast compared to the last year's one held during the October shopping period.
Attendee Mary Fuller said, "It's a good day to stop and reflect and think about people affected by the breast cancer and their families and their carers."
"Its lovely to come out and catch up with old friends."
Attendee Carol Collier said said she and her staff from Collier Trenerry Funeral Services were motivated to come out and support the fight against breast cancer.
"As a team we just like to show our support," Mrs Collier said.
"My muffin was delicious."
Belinda Johns said it was very good of the owners of Griffith central to allow the fundraiser to take place.
Ms Johns said she would love to see similar events held at the shopping center.
