Residents waking up on Friday morning however, could be forgiven for wanting to shake their fists at the sky.
The muggy clouds which gathered over the city on Friday have delivered only a mere sprinkling of rain, with little more expect to fall through out the rest of the day.
The few droplets which have fallen have done little to relieve the parched trees and moisten up the concrete like soil on Scenic Hill.
Meanwhile dust has been left on windows and windshields across town.
Per the Bureau Of Meteorology's forecast for Friday March 22, Griffith residents can expect a warm cloudy day reaching a maximum of 33 degrees.
There is a slight 30 per cent chance of a thunderstorm expected for the morning and afternoon.
Northeasterly winds of 15 to 20 kilometers per hour are expected to lighten around midday and then pick up again later in the evening again reaching 15 to 20 kilometers per hour.
