Diggers were defeated by Exies last weekend in the qualifying final while Coro got across the line in a tight tussle with Leagues Club in the elimination final as they late-season form continues to roll on.
Diggers will be heading into the clash with a couple of injury clouds heading around. Dean Villata was unable to bowl in the second innings of their qualifying final after a hamstring injury while Trevor Richards is also coming back from an injury sustained in the one-day final.
Richards has been the key with the bat for Diggers this season so his return would bolster the side's chances of advancing while captain Theo Valeri will be hoping to continue his good form with the bat after scoring 33 runs last weekend.
Coro isn't without inform batsmen with the Rand brothers, Tim and Rob, and Jamie Bennett all who helped get their side into the position to reach fourth grand final in a row as all three batsmen score over 30 runs in their win over Leagues.
In the meeting between the two sides this season, Diggers took out the two one-day meetings between the sides while Coro took a win in a timed match with one game being called off due to unforeseen circumstances.
The first-grade two-day preliminary final will get underway at 1.30pm on Saturday with the second day of play starting at 10.30am on Sunday.
