Drummer Dom Littrich said the band will be making the drive over the Blue Mountains from the South Coast of NSW in his parent's family van.
"It's mum and dads family van, but it's unofficially become the band van," Mr Littrich said.
"It's a Volkswagen transporter decked out like a camper van, it's the only thing we can fit in with our gear.
"There hasn't been any damages, not that mum and dad know about, but we usually play a few road trip games and it can get a bit heated."
Mr Littrich said this will be the second longest drive to a show for his fellow band members Harry O' Brien, Ben Fryer and Jack Kay, with the band having once driven to Brisbane from their home town of Kiama.
Having never been to Griffith before Mr Littrich said the main attraction for Pacific Avenue in joining the show was the high quality of the line up.
With 80's pub rock legends The Angels set to headline the concert alongside contemporaries Johnny Diesel and The Black Sorrows, Mr Littirich said he and his band mates will be restraining themselves to avoid geeking out when meeting their fellow performers.
"Our band was really is influenced by a lot of old school Aussie Rock, this is a load of stuff that we listened to when our parents listened to them," Mr Littirch said.
"(Our sound) is 80's Australian, a bit Powderfingery too we like that 80's 90's rock, Crowded House were a massive influence, our parents played it with road trips and things like that.
"We're stoked, if we get the chance we will have a chat and get some wisdom off them too, it's a mix of old and new talent we will be injecting a bit of a take on today's indie rock."
When asked what music he will be playing for the drive over the Blue Mountains Mr Littrich said there will also be a bit of the Zepplin and Black Sabbath.
"We're coming in a day early on Friday to get some rest, our lead guitarist is going to have to get up early on Saturday and get to the gig," Mr Littrich said.
"Me and Harry have a tradition of having an energy drink before we play, we also have this handshake that we do backstage so we get in the zone, and a couple of footy warm-ups."
