The Griffith Country Women's Association (CWA) Picnic Day event drew large crowds out into Sunday's stunning weather.

CWA secretary Dorothy McCorkelle said around 27 stall holders attended raising money for a wide range of causes including a new paint job for the CWA rooms.
Saturday's picnic was the second annual event to be held by Griffith CWA and was aimed at increasing the awareness for the group and recruiting new members.
Ms McCorkelle said the Griffith CWA currently has 25 members the youngest of which is eight-months-old.
Teachers and carers from Kalinda School also attended the picnic and were selling Christmas cards, cutlery holders, and arts and craft items made by their students.
Kalinda school teacher Molly Townsing said their proceeds will be going towards raising money for the canteen and the bus run.
Meanwhile Parents from Lake Wyangan public school sold cupcakes and popcorn.
Lake Wyangan P&C president Amanda Kissick saying the school's stall was raising money to buy new computers technology and for gifts for readers at the school.
Volunteers from Griffith Needy Paws Dog Rescue also attended raising money to stock up on dog food, while Fire fighter Chris Evans and Fire and Rescue NSW Griffith Station Deputy Captain Gavin Wickenden showed of equipment and gave smoke alarm demonstrations.
