The Griffith Parkinson's Support Group will be holding their annual fundraiser with a coffee morning at the Coro Club seeking money for a new nurse.

The group meets every second month proving information and support for its 45 members 25 of whom have Parkinson's disease.
"We are lobbying for a Parkinson's nurse here in Griffith which we desperately need, we have one nurse who works from Wagga but she only works two days a week and she has all the Murrumbidgee area to cover," support group coordinator Louisa Feltracco said.
"The cost to keep one nurse per year is $100,000, it is their pay and they have a lot of work to do and they go see people at home."
The group has also started a support meetings for residents caring for people with Parkinson's this year.
The coffee morning will run from 10.30am to 2pm on April 3 with tickets for the coffee morning to be sold at Griffith Central on Sunday March 24 and costing $10.
