The Panthers won the toss and elected to bat, and while the lost the wicket of Kyle Jamieson (7) early in their innings, Patrick Payne and Noah Gaske took the game away from Diggers.
Both Payne (42 ret.) and Gaske (40 ret.) reached the retirement mark before Cooper James (10) was dismissed by Noah Puntoriero (1/17) to have Leagues on 2/111.
Alex Minato (31) and Daniel Brown (32) were able to make contributions as Leagues reached the end of their 25 overs on 4/217.
Brown was able to make an early impact for the Panthers as he picked up the wicket of Manan Dave (3) before Jamieson picked up the wicket of Matthew Devery (16) to have Diggers sitting on 2/28.
Ben Fattore and Sean Garcia looked to rebuild their innings with a 44-run stand before Minato removed Fattore (29).
Garcia (19) was the last batsman to get into double digits as the bowling of the Panthers contributed to the scoring with 50 sundries bowled. Despite the extras, Leagues were able to pick up a 70-run win with James (2/7), Brown (2/23) and Minato (2/18) picking up two wickets each.
