Well it can be safely said it was opportunistic publicity, another chance to be noticed in the limelight whilst showing dedicated generosity.

There is a danger of war between India and Pakistan these days. This war must be prevented between the two.

Both India and Pakistan are atomic powers. So the war between the two will be dangerous.

According to an American estimate in case war between the two all the hospitals in Asia will be filled with victims of the war. The land of both the countries will become barren and water of the both countries will become poisonous.

We all are worried about our relatives in India

We were in Auckland, New Zealand in 1996 when India exploded six atom bombs. All the people in New Zealand were asking me "Mr Singh the people in India are starving. There not even water for them to drink. What is need of atom bombs?"

My reply to them was "Hindu Nationalist Party (BJP) is ruling in India now. My family always vote for the Congress Party If the Congress Party had been ruling in India now there would have been no atomic explosions".

Hindu Nationalist Party is ruling now in India. So there is the danger of war between India and Pakistan

We have been sold out by our politicians.

I have been telling my colleagues and fellow councillors for years that good science, good farming practice and commonsense play no part in the ongoing water debate.

The current situation of zero allocation is for political purposes only.

Every country town in regional NSW has a select group of individuals who have intricate knowledge of our water, how it flows and how it should work to best benefit our farmers, their communities and the environment, but their vital knowledge is being ignored because at the end of the day if it isn’t going to win state and federal votes then it doesn’t matter.

The choices that got us into this mess have been made by politicians who don’t understand or care about the effects their decisions have on Australians.

They only care about getting the most votes; like some twisted popularity contest.

Our situation is simple, if NSW farmers can’t farm it affects more than what is being publicly acknowledged by our political representatives, it affects not only their livelihoods and their mental health but entire communities and the Australian economy as a whole.

We have farms being sold, legacies not being passed on, simply because the state and federal politicians made a series of poor choices at our expense! Not to mention the state of our once beautiful river system.

Who is to blame for all the dead fish in the Menindee? The state of the Darling? You guessed it, politicians who could care less about the affect their actions have had on our communities.

At the moment we have very unhappy farmers, unhappy townspeople and unhappy environmentalists.

No one is happy about this situation and it can only continue the same way if we do nothing.

The talk fest is over, it is time for action!

The way I see it, we currently have three choices;

Well I say let’s make a fourth option, my preferred option, blow the plan up!

It wasn’t that long ago that NSW and Victoria were going to walk away from the plan so let’s go back and make that the starting point.

Let’s start listening to the people who are living this every day, who know what needs to happen, who know how to make it right once again.

It is time to make a change for the better of rural and regional NSW and start taking care of our farmers, our water, our rivers and our towns!
