11 up and coming musicians under the age of 25 came to perform, with some coming from as far as Albury and Condobolin.
But only four artists could reap the rewards, with Hillston's Jorja Dalton securing the place at A Day In the Orchard at the Piccolo Family farm on Sunday May 5, and also came away with a cash prize for the most original song.
For runner's up Harriet Kelly, Zac Spalding and Matz, their chance will come at the at MY FEST music festival October 25 alongside headline artists.
One of the three judges on the day Lachlan Pendlebury praised all who came to participate.
"It is so good to see local kids, and those I have even seen around and didn't even know had this kind of talent," Mr Pendlebury said.
"And this is great experience - so if you didn't get a gig come back this year."

Joined by local musician Ben Ceccatto and drama teacher and production manager Jaz Dossettor, Mr Pendlebury said they had their work cut out for them deciding who to chose.
