The $20,000 grant from the NSW Government as part of their Flagship Event Fund more than doubles the marketing budget for the event, meaning promotion of events in October will reach and attract and even bigger audience.
Mr Evans was delighted in supporting an initiative set to driver overnight visitation to the city.
Last year the event pumped over $2 million back into Griffith's economy, with the average stay for visitors sitting at three nights.
"It's a wonderful celebration that attracts many locals and also visitors from far and wide," Mr Evans said.
Mayor John Dal Broi, speaking on behalf of the Spring Fest committee and the tourism committee, said the funds would help grow what is already a major event for the city.

“I’m proud to say that Spring Fest is a progressive festival that showcases all the great things Griffith has to offer and these funds will go a long way in helping us make it even bigger and better.”
Griffith Spring Fest will be held from October 13-26, with gardens open from October 1 to 20.
