The Swans were able to pick up a 17.9 (111) to 1.0 (6) over the Bears which got underway with a strong showing in the first quarter according to coach Trevor Richards.
"We kicked four or five goals in the first quarter and had a fair bit of the ball," he said.
"We weren't sure whether that might have just been the scoring end with a bit of breeze and being, but the girls just played really well and kept the momentum going."
The 105-point win for the Swans puts them in a strong position with two wins from as many games, and Richards feels his side are in a great position.
"Realistically if we win one more game we make the final which is great for the girls," he said.
"They have been working pretty hard, and they all love it so it would be great for them to have that opportunity.
"We just missed out on the final last year with a couple of close losses to CSU and Riverina Lions, and we are in the box seat now if we can get another win."
This weekend the Swans will return home to face their toughest test so far this season when they take on defending champions CSU on Friday night.
"They had their first game on Friday and had a good win over the Riverina Lions," he said.
"It was a pretty tough contest, so it will be pretty tough next weekend, but if the girls rip in and have a crack, we will see what happens."
The CSU side was able to pick up a 6.4 (40) to 2.2 (14) win over Riverina Lions to start their season.
Richards was also pleased to see his girls starting to understand the finer points of playing Australian Rules.
"The girls are starting to understand the structures and spreading and moving out and getting into space, and that was good," he said.
"Being that most of them are fairly new to footy and haven't played that much they are starting to pick it up and it's working really well."
